Delete Your Account
Last updated: 29 July 2026
This page explains how to delete your Gronsfeld account and the data attached to it, and what happens to that data afterwards. It applies to every app published by Gronsfeld Studio — currently Pulse.
The quickest route is inside the app. If you no longer have it installed or cannot sign in, ask us directly at contact@gronsfeld.com.
Delete your account in the app
Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no undo, and a deleted account cannot be restored or re-linked later.
- Open the app and make sure you are signed in. A guest session has no account attached to it, so there is nothing to delete — signing out is enough.
- Open the Profile tab and tap the gear icon in the corner to open Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom of Settings and tap "Delete Account".
- Confirm twice. The app asks once, then asks again for a final confirmation, so an accidental tap cannot erase your account.
- Your data is erased on our servers straight away and the app returns to the sign-in screen.
Request deletion by e-mail
If you have already uninstalled the app, lost access to your sign-in method, or simply prefer not to use the in-app route, send a request to contact@gronsfeld.com with the subject "Delete my account", from the e-mail address the account uses.
We will reply to confirm the request and complete the deletion within 30 days of establishing that it really comes from the account holder. If we cannot establish that, we will tell you why instead of deleting the wrong account.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently erases the following from our servers:
- Sign-in identity — your e-mail address and password, and any linked Apple or Google identity. Where you signed in with Apple, we also revoke that grant on your behalf.
- Profile — display name, avatar, chosen topics, country, and preferences.
- Gameplay data — scores, ratings, streaks, best combos, achievements, per-topic statistics, and your finished game sessions.
- Competitive records — your leaderboard entry, your league placement and past league results, your duel results, and any pending matchmaking or league queue entry.
- Notification data — your push token, notification settings, and the record of what was sent to you.
What is kept, and for how long
A small amount of data outlives the account. None of it can be used to sign back in, and none of it is used to build a profile of you.
- Reports you filed about a question are kept with your identifier stripped out, so moderation can still act on the report. They are no longer linked to you and are kept for as long as the reported question exists.
- Finished matches remain part of your opponents' own game history, including the display name and avatar you used at the time of the match. We cannot remove those without destroying another player's record of a game they actually played.
- Purchase and billing records held by Apple or Google, and the accounting records we are required to keep, are retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We never hold your card details.
- Operational logs held by our infrastructure providers are short-lived or aggregated, and are no longer tied to a profile once yours is gone.
Cancel your subscription first
Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google rather than by us, so cancel yours in the App Store or Google Play before you delete the account — otherwise it keeps renewing and we cannot stop it or refund it on your behalf.
Removing some data without deleting the account
You can change your display name, avatar, chosen topics, and notification preferences at any time in the app's Settings, and turn push notifications off entirely, without deleting anything else. If you want something else removed but want to keep the account, write to contact@gronsfeld.com and tell us what.
